 Museum of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University 

The opening of Museum was on October 13, 2009, the Day when the President Nursultan Nazarbayev visited Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. 

The Museum of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is a modern centre for research and educational training and spiritual-moral upbringing of youth, it is a carrier of its historical memory and cultural traditions.  

It implements the multifunctional role in life of the university. There are carried out the following activities on its base as:  branding, educational,educational-methodical, scientific research,innovative and pedagogic. 

The total area of Museum complex is 1000 sq. meters. It consists of Gallery of history, a Hall of Glory, a Hall of the modernity and the Hall of Sustainable Development of the University.

Museum Palaeolithic Kazakhstan

At the end of December 2000, Kazakh National University Al-Farabi was opened a unique and the only in the CIS Museum Palaeolithic Kazakhstan. The museum consists of stone artifacts that have been accumulated (about 600 thousand.) Museum of Biology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University

Biological Museum of KazNU was founded in 1936, initially as a zoological museum at the Chair of Zoology of the Faculty of Biology, and then in 1949 it was reorganized into the Faculty’s Biology Museum. Modern life of the biological museum began with the opening of the showroom and external dioramas in 1984 during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the University. Museum of Biology of the University is unique in its kind not only for the Republic of Kazakhstan, but also for the entire CIS . Biological Museum is a research and scientific and educational center, assisting in leading of the specialists of biological profile: PhD, masters and bachelors.


Museum of Archaeology

Museum of Ancient and Medieval Archaeology was established in 1983. 
 The museum consists of three sections, which are exposed archaeological material of the Bronze Age, Iron Age and Middle Ages, found during archaeological studies teachers of the department of Archaeology and Ethnology, Faculty of History. The most valuable and rare material is presented in Section of Medieval history and the ancient settlement entirely to the Aktobe, which dates from the V century and a multi-layered medieval monument.
